A fresh (and stronger) start

Make your reels feel aroused with some fresh new line from Rig Marole

Despite all the chatter about sinkability and knot strength, Rig Marole knows that price point is very important to us all. But that doesn’t mean we don’t want a line which sinks like an absolute brick, or one which is so abrasion-resistant it will actually cut into a block of wood (tis true: just ask the visitors of December’s Carp Society Winter Show).

After a couple of years development and testing, Rig Marole are now proud to début their SLS Specimen Tough – a line which balances diameter with strength, colour with sinkability and price with the term ‘friendly’ at under £20 for a 1,000m spool. It comes in three breaking strains, 12, 15 and 18lb which results in diameters of 0.30, 0.33 and 0.37mm that are no thicker than the majority of main lines on the market, yet SLS offers second-to-none performance when it comes to combating weed, snags and zebra mussels. Seriously: if you’re looking for ultimate strength in extremely demanding conditions, then this line is destined for your Tournies.

And it’s all topped off with a colour which blends in perfectly and a low-stretch nature which helps when feeling for a drop.
