Surely there are only so many features that you can cram onto a bedchair before it starts looking like one of those boats with half a scrap heap on top? Well, Taska might just change your mind on that! Their new Dreamlina bed is bristling with clever little tweaks that have been dreamt up to make your bankside life easier and more comfortable! “GIMME”: £229.99; taskacarp.com
1. Adjustable head
Ever noticed how quickly your arm goes numb when propping your (surprisingly heavy) head up, watching the water from the warmth of the bag? Well, you can consign that to the dustbin of history with this clever feature. Simply use the handwheels to angle the head to your liking and recline in comfort… just try not to fall back to sleep, you might miss something!
2. Insulated mattress
The luxuriously thick memory-foam mattress is insulated to keep you toasty on cold nights, and can be easily removed from the frame and ATS webbing base. This allows you to give it an airing, even if that is only once every spring!
3. Strong, light frame
The rock-solid aluminium frame is super-strong, but light too, tipping the scales at a nimble 14.5kg. The frame has been designed to offer maximum support and yet fold down neatly for transit. What’s more, it’s powder coated in a carpy green colour to blend seamlessly with your surroundings!
4. Utility skirt
Taska has added a unique utility skirt to the side of the Dreamlina, which features a number of handily positioned pockets. They allow you to store all your essentials close to hand, and ensure that important stuff like keys, phone, receiver and head torch don’t go missing just when you need them!
5. ATS Webbing Support
The ATS webbing system that the mattress sits on has been designed to provide extra lumbar support, spreading your weight across the sturdy frame to help you get the most comfortable night’s sleep this side of your own bed. Bedchair life doesn’t have to mean enduring a stiff back these days you know!
The Dreamlina boasts eight legs, all of which are adjustable and feature Taska’s unique mudfeet. Having four sets of legs means that not only is the bed more stable, it also helps to spread your weight more evenly, allowing you to move around without fear of tipping and ending up eating dirt in the dead of night!
The Dreamlina’s a good-sized bed, but it folds away nicely, and a quick-release buckle holds it all together for transport. It’s all very well having the best bed out there, but if it won’t fit into your car, you’re screwed! Thankfully, this one does!
