As hard as they come

Nashy’s Titan Brolly Pro AS is both beautiful and exceptionally strong. So could this be the bivvy you need this summer?

The original Titan Brolly System was the outcome of a 2009/10 crossbred with its hit 90’s bigger brother, the Titan. And just like that bankside home, the AS was about as hairy-chested and big-ballsed as anything on the bank can be and yet still looked carpy and sophisticated. And just how the Titan is one of the world’s strong bivvies, this was the world’s strongest brolly system thanks to being force-fed a diet Nandrolone since birth.

The Titan Brolly Pro AS comes with two front panel options: full mozzi and waterproof

“The rigid, pre-formed aluminum frame optimises strength and rigidity,” stated top brass, Kevin Nash. “The Titan Brolly is significantly stronger than traditional brollies and is the only one capable of combating hurricane force winds.”

That was back in 2010. For 2015, whilst the strength has remained the same – unbreakable – the new Titan Brolly Pro AS takes all the flexibility of the renowned 2013 Titan Brolly All Season one step further with the inclusion of tie-back storm panels at the rear to expose mesh air flow to improve cooling air movement for summer and sticky weather comfort.

There’s clear windows on the waterproof panel

Just like the original model, the patented swivel block system ensures a speedy set-up – and just like that model, it’s the shape of this shelter that makes it so desirable: the low profile and full width storm sides maximise ‘under-brolly’ shelter protection and rigidity.
It comes complete with two removable fronts – one waterproof and one mozzi mesh and weighing in at 10kgs (that’s complete with everything) and measuring 120 (H) x 276 (W) x 213cm (D), its footprint and weight are less than the existing Titan Brolly 1 Man AS so it’ll fit in the tightest of swims. It also comes complete with 2 x sets of swan necks, 2 x storm poles, one heavy-duty groundsheet, a set of pegs and a carry bag.

Titan Brolly 1 Man AS

If you grew up in the 90s and early Noughties, everybody you knew had a Nash Titan. If they didn’t, they wanted one. And for 2013, the company have taken the DNA of that most desirable and beloved shelter, along with that they’ve learnt from its smaller brother – the Titan Brolly AS and have created this: a 1-Man version. Slightly bigger and consequently heavier at 15.5kgs and 130 (H) x 290 (W) x 200cm (D) than the AS Pro, this too comes with rear vents, two removable front – one waterproof and one mosquito mesh, and is completed with a heavy-duty groundsheet, pegs, storm poles and swan necks which offer two options for the angle of the storm poles.

Titan Brolly 2 Man AS

Nash isn’t afraid to make this bigger, stronger and heavier than any other company. Why? Because that’s what the customer wants. This, the company’s first ever two-man version of the Titan Brolly AS is claimed by the company to become incredibly popular, not only for angling partners, but also the single angler who desires more head room. In terms of footprint and weight, it’s gained 2kgs, now totalling 17.5kg when complete and measuring 168 (H) x 325 (W) x 265cm (D), so as you can see there’s plenty of room yet it still looks as radical as its smaller sibling. Just like the other two, it comes complete with two removable fronts, has rear vents, a heavy-duty groundsheet, pegs, storm poles and swan necks.
