Fox Retreat+ Bivvy range
Along with clothing, footwear, end tackle and rods, the Fox design team has been busy improving what was already in our eyes the perfect bankside house…

The official bankside house outfitters to Tom Maker, Ian Chillcott, Mark Pitchers and co. have a number of key new shelters ready for 2017. The first is what Fox themselves are calling, “one our finest bivvy ranges we have ever made” and it’s called the Retreat+ collection.

The iconic Essex-based bivvy-maker’s original range of Retreat and Voyager bivvies were widely regarded as the pram-hood that others were judged against, so you would think trying to improve them would be an impossibility, right? Try telling their product development team that!

Designed in-house by Scott Day, Shaun McSpadden and with feedback from the key Fox consultants, the new Retreat+ range features three mind-blowing new models, all combining the best features from the original Retreat and Voyager bivvies, but now with some more clever design tweaks and a new, higher quality material, Fox believe they are now bordering on perfection. And we’d agree.

All three models (1 Man, 2 Man and Compact) share a number of common features, such as Fox’s awesome new Ven-Tec Rip Stop material which has a hydrostatic head rating of 20,000, plus features including mozzy mesh ventilation, fully removable fronts, clever design tweaks to give maximum usable space inside, along with three supplied door options.
Each of the homes are supplied with a full frame support, heavy-duty pegs and groundsheet and an oversized carry bag. Extending Wraps are available, as are the new Mesh Inner Domes which take the comfort level to the next stage.

Pricing structures vary depending on the model, but for what we’re predicting will be the most popular option, the Retreat+ 1 Man, look to pay £459.99 for the bivvy itself; £259.99 for the Extending Wrap; £104.99 for the Inner Dome; or £529.99 for the 1 Man Package which includes the Inner Dome. foxint.com
