New for 2017 from JRC

A budget-priced buzzer/receiver combo, a new ultra lightweight range of bars and sticks, plus some super slick beds – JRC should get a standing ovation for this lot…

JRC Cocoon Bedchair range

Life on the bank has changed. Years ago we got a blue ratchet camping bed from Argos. Today you get this: some of the world’s most lightest yet comfortable-est beds. JRC has a rich heritage when it comes to bedchair achievements and this completely new range looks like it’ll be receiving some more silverware in twenty-seventeen.

The collection starts with the Cocoon Levelbed which retails for £159.99, before moving onto the JRC Cocoon 2G Levelbed (£189.99), the Super Levelbed (£199.99) and finally there’s the 2G XL Levelbed (£209.99), and whilst they differ in footprint and weight, they all feature brand-new, re-engineered mudfeet, hinge system and padding.

JRC has always been an ultra-comfort enthusiast and it would appear this new range, along with their simply mind-blowing 3D sleeping bags, is the pinnacle, especially when you consider the price tag. jrc-fishing.co.uk

Radar CX Alarms

The Radar DS3 was one of CARPology’s favourite alarms last year, and for the 2017 the brilliant makers-of-everything, is, per usual, offering something that’s frickin’ awesome – and dirt-cheap.

It’s called the Radar CX and for an alarm which works with a receiver, you might expect the range – and the actual buzzer – to be a tad pony, but we’d be wrong. This mid-priced buzzer sports all the attributes of a much higher priced system thanks to boasting such features as volume, tone, sensitivity, travelling LEDs, digitally amplified sound and, as we say, receiver compatible. And the price? The heads will be just £39.99, the receiver £29.99, or you can buy the complete presentation set of three heads and receiver for £139.99.

To go hand-in-hand with the new alarms, JRC is also launching a range of indicators. Named DS, they’re just as clever as the alarm. There are two types – the Hanger and the Swing Indicator – and when combined with the heads the indicator will illuminate when the buzzer sounds. Witchcraft?

X-Lite collection

These lightweight pieces of hardware by the northern makers is amply culty to impress any old school fiends. Although lightweight, they’re incredibly durable thanks to their aluminum construction and all come finished in a powder coated matt black coating. There’s a huge range of pieces, from banksticks and buzzer bars to snag ears, butt rests and stage stands, all combining the same simple but elegant design with fantastic price points.
