Particle power!

Freshly prepared, ready-to-go and full of natural attraction – say hello to the Spod Particles from Mistral Baits…

Anglers have been using various particles as fishing baits for, well, a bloody long time – decades in fact, and those targeting specimen carp have not failed to utilise these baits in that time. Regardless of the type of venue you fish, be it a well-stocked runs water or a vast low stock pit, the attraction and pulling power of particle baits is a well proven. From providing carpet-like feeds to hold large numbers of fish for lengthy periods and ‘big-hit’ strategies to setting stealthy traps in the edge – the tactics where particles can be applied are simply endless.

There is only one real draw back and that’s preparing and cooking the stuff in the first place. 24hrs soaking time is often required and then of course there is that ‘carpy aroma’ created during the boiling process that the missus won’t exactly appreciate as much as your catch-rate. The answer is ready prepared particles, such as the new range of Spod Particles from Mistral Baits.

Freshly prepared and contained within handy 3kg buckets, there are three different mixes available: Artic Krill, Flamin Chilli and Natural. Each mix contains a combination of particle and pulses, but perhaps best of all is the juices and liquor created while cooking. Full of natural sugars and carp attractants, this small amount of liquid will dramatically increase the pulling power of any bait mix and fishing method.

The soft binding texture of the Spod Particle mean they can easily be thrown ball-like to marginal spots and suitable for use on their own. Of course the spod lovers out there will appreciate the benefits of combining these tasty morsels with other baits, such as corn, hemp and boilies to create a scented feast of texture, food and substance to draw and hold carp in the feeding zone.

The list of uses is simply endless, although the reasons for using the Mistral Spod Particles are not; there is just one: flip back the bucket lid and you’ll instantly see and smell what that reason is: the carp are going to love them!
