RidgeMonkey rolls on

The seemingly unstoppable rise and rise of RidgeMonkey continues, thanks to another awesome launch of kit you’ll want…

1. VRH300 USB Rechargeable Headtorch

Now this is a step forward. Not only is the VRH300 rechargable but it’s also packed with plenty of useful features. One in particular caught our eye, and that’s what the RidgeMonkey team call the ‘Dual Orientation’ functionality, which to you and me means that you can use the torch either way up – there is no wrong way to put it on your head. It’s dustproof and waterproof, which is vital, and even features an LED battery level display, so you know when it needs a top-up. Comprehensive!

2. Line Control Arm

This simple device might well spell the end of a host of problems experienced by users of remote control boats, and even ‘proper’ hard-bottomed boats. It’s a robust plastic arm that clips to your reel spool and regulates the release of line when your bail arm is open. It basically performs the function of your fingertip on the spool, allowing you to concentrate on piloting your boat perfectly, without having to worry about line spilling off the spool and tangling. Crucially, it helps you to position your baits without subjecting your line to the terrible twist that you’d get if you did this with the free-spool mechanism engaged!

3. Clothing collection

A hook-up between Ridge and CARPology’s good pals, Navitas, and resulted in this: a full clothing range. Stylish and comfortable whilst remaining hardwearing and functional. Thanks to discreet branding, classic cuts and a lovely colour palette, all garms are equally at home on the bank or down the local for a swift half. Tee, hood and joggers are available in Olive Green and Classic Black in sizes S to XXXL, whilst the Five Panel Cap is also available in Khaki.
