Urban Bait Tuna & Garlic range

Take two of the finest carp attractors known to man, blend with Urban Baits boss Terry Dempsey’s lifetime of bait knowledge and you’ve got a very special bait indeed!

The big five

1. Time-proven recipe
The rudiments of this effective bait go waaay back to the 1980s, when Terry Dempsey only really did two things: roll bait and catch carp! Today’s Tuna & Garlic has all that pedigree, with bang-up-to-date ingredients that are proven winners. “GIMME”: Boilies from £10.95 a kilo

2. Meshed corkballs
Urban hand-mesh their 15mm corkball pop-ups so you can leave them out there for ages, safe in the knowledge that the coot that’s been diving over your bait won’t have picked the skin off it before the carp turn up to feed! “GIMME”: £11.95 a tub

3. Washed-out pop-ups
These attractor pop-ups hit just the right note in terms of subtlely. They’re eye-catching, but without the intensity that might cause a fish to become suspicious, which makes them damn near perfect for nicking a quick bite over the top of the T&G freebies! They’re available in low-key pink and yellow. “GIMME”: £6.49 a tub

4. Matching Stick mix, pellets and liquid
The Tuna & Garlic range includes pellets, Stick mix and rich liquid attractant with the same flavouring as the boilies themselves. Use the liquid to dampen down your Stick mixes, or glaze your pellets and hookbaits for added POW! “GIMME”: From £5.95 a kilo

5. Make your own or buy ready-rolled
Urban supply the base mix and liquid-food package that they use to make the ready-rolled boilies, so, if you want to get all ‘Terry Dempsey’ and roll boilies on the bank (or in the kitchen, if you’re not as hardcore as Tel), you can! If you want the convenience of ready-rolled, you’ve got that too… “GIMME”: From £9.95 a kilo; urbanbaits.co.uk
