Wychwood Essex Carp Championships

May 2011 saw the 1st Essex Carp Championships take place at Newlands Hall Fishery in the outskirts of Chelmsford, Essex. After three heats and a final one lucky pair was crowned “The Essex carp Champions 2011” they walked away with some cracking prizes and a nice fistful of cash.

The 2012 event though is set to be massive. The event is now sponsored by Wychwood, there are five qualifiers on four different waters, the prize money has gone up to £3000 and Wychwood are providing hundreds of pounds worth of prizes; it is set to be a mega event!
To run alongside this year’s event, Wychwood and Nutrabaits will also be holding an Open Demonstration day and junior event on Saturday May 19th (The day of the final) at Newlands Hall. Read more …
