Since the capture of V-Scale I have been back on the low-stocked water. Last weekend was one of those sessions where everything went uneventfully. Upon arrival I found someone in the swim which I had been pre-baiting, but he was unaware of the area I was baiting. Taking a peek at his line angles they werent pointing towards the pre-baited area so I was quite contempt with slotting in elsewhere. Upon rolling into the car park of Weybreads Number One Pit at 3:00pm it was apparent it would be a struggle to obtain a swim. I had worked extra hours the night before so I could get down earlier on the Friday to hopefully get a good choice of swims, well I think everyone had exactly the same idea. Upon having a quick lap with Charlie it was apparent the only swims available where write-offs with the given weather conditions. The week after having The Twin I fancied a change of scenery, a bit of fishing with a friend that I hadnt been with since the autumn. We decided to go onto The Number One Pit on the Weybread complex for the weekend. Shortly after arriving at the low stocked lake, Broome Pits D Lake it was surprising to see the place empty apart from Welshy on the opposite side packing away. This trip I was doing a session with our designer Dan. After a good look around it was clear the fish were not showing, nothing had changed there, but with the wind blowing a strong westerly. It has been a hectic couple of months for me. I originally started off in September at college straight after leaving school training to be an electrician. It came to the early part of 2011 when Joe approached me asking if I wanted the Junior Staff Writer position? Well it was a no-brainer really so I told college pretty quickly that I would not be attending much longer. Everything has been awesome since I have started and I must say I am one of the lucky ones who are able to have an occupation in their passion. Read more …
