The sharp-eyed amongst you will have noticed CARPology has made a few changes this month. Like that bright red cover, a couple of new type faces, a cleaner, clearer layout, and most importantly, introduced a few new writers and a couple of new features. Our aim was to create a simpler magazine that contained all the best bits of CARPology but ensured you learnt more, which means you catch more.
Take the Tactics section: we’ve got a three-parter on hooks, hook holds, hookbaits (there’s a bit of a theme developing here) with Jason Hayward. Everyone’s favourite angler, Jon McAllister, makes a back-by-popular-demand return with his From The Bivvy (P59) series. We also know you like The Rotary Letter (this month situated on page 66), so we’ve created a new feature to run alongside it: Opinion Poll, which this month starts on page 76. Add in your normal favourites Below The Surface (P30), Nigel Sharp (On The Bright Side, P46), Dave Lane (Laney’s Column, P52) and The Tank Tests (P80) and you’ve got a very nice package indeed.
But it doesn’t end there either. We also know how much you love hardware – especially if it’s new, hence the reason why we’ve allocated 17 pages to our 2010’s Big New Launches feature which starts on page 105. Enjoy the issue.
