We've got two roles going, and one is the editor's seat... Here's all the details

CARPology is more than a magazine. It’s more than a website. It’s a family of fiercely creative people driven to tell the most interesting and inspiring carp fishing stories from around the world. That’s a lofty goal, and to achieve it, we need talent. Here’s a list of open positions at CARPology. If you see something interesting, and you think you can fulfill the role, then get applying!

Editor

CARPology is looking for a bright and savvy individual with fierce attention to detail, creative resourcefulness and who excels at meeting deadlines to take over the reins of the UK’s largest selling carp fishing title and that has a global reach of over 1.2 million each month.

Qualified candidates will know the CARPology brand inside out and knows who it talks to, what makes a CARPology story and how best to present it. And he/she will be full of great editorial ideas to really make it sing.

They will need a full range of journalistic skills; inspired commissioning, clever copy editing and the ability to write anything, from news reporting and long reads to detailed reviews and shooting stills for both the magazine and our social and digital channels. A strong visual sense is also important.

Writing content for CARPology.net and working closely with our Social Media Editor will also be part of the role.

Videographer/Animation

CARPology seeks a videographer/animator with a strong journalism background and passion for visual storytelling. The candidate should have a keen understanding of what makes a good visual story and how to produce compelling visual material. The videographer-animator will also work closely with the CARPology design department to drive the look and feel of CARPology video, by creating motion graphics templates and typography templates.

Responsibilities include:
Script, shoot and edit OlogyFix videos
Plan, shoot and edit How To, Hardware and feature-length videos
Upload and manage CARPology’s YouTube channels
A monthly diary vlog
Edit external videos when necessary
