Avid Carp Bivvy Organiser

Bivvy tables just evolved...

Until you use a bivvy table, you really don’t know what you’re missing out on! Having one in your kit might just mean that you’ll never lose the car keys again! But, before you lay out your hard-earned on one, you need to check out the Bivvy Organiser from Avid: it’s a bivvy table and a whole lot more! The innovative product team at Avid looked hard at what the bivvy table does for us, and how it could be improved, and this little gem is the result!

Along with a table top, there’s a storage compartment below…

The Big Five

1. It’s non-slip!
As well as being a really carpy green, the tray on the top of the Bivvy Organiser boasts a non-slip finish too. Now that’s pretty useful for a load of reasons, principally so you can use your cooking kit, kettle and tea stuff on it without fear of it slipping off and depositing your scorching Pot Noodle (okay, tinned curry then!) all over your groundsheet, or worse, your feet!

…And a pouch to hold your gas canister

2. There’s tons of storage
Okay, so this is where it scores over your standard table. In fact, this is where it pounds the old style table into dust. Suspended from the top tray is a zippable storage bag, which is perfect for, well, whatever the heck you want to put in it! Cooking stuff, yep; tackle box, yep; tea stuff, perfect. Our worry was that it’d be much bulkier, but in reality, the small amount of extra room it takes up is soooo worth it to have those essentials all accounted for at all times and close at hand.

As you’d expect from Avid, all the materials used are hardwearing

3. It’s clever too
We love the little tweaks that the development team has applied to this baby. First up is the gas bottle holder. It’s a clip-on pouch that holds your gas can off the deck, keeping it a little warmer than it would be if it were in contact with the ground. Of course you can still use it while in the holder, making it the neatest tea station going. A couple of carry handles at each end of the tray make for easy relocation when fully loaded.

The four adjustable legs ensure the table top is perfectly level

4. Uneven ground? No drama
So if you’re going to use this as your tea or cooking station, then the least you need is for it to be level, right? Well, as you’d expect, Avid has given the Organiser four independently adjustable legs, which can cope with pretty much the worst swims around.

5. Every inch a space-saver!
Once packed down, the Bivvy Organiser is pretty compact. Granted, it’s bulkier than your bog-standard table, but not by much, especially if you empty the storage hold. Once folded down, you can stow it in the velcro-top carry bag, which they’ve chucked in for free! £49.99
