Fortis Eyewear Strokes

Fortis never fails to deliver tasty (and functional) sunglasses. And this month sees the launch of another stunner: Strokes

You may be up before dawn listening for fish, but once the sun comes up, don’t let it be a pain in the eyes. Enjoy the view thanks to kings of cool, Fortis, and their brand-new cutting-edge polarising glasses.

‘Strokes’ marry a stunning contemporary frame design with the on-trend tortoiseshell finish. And as Fortis put it: “for the modern-day “stroke” puller on those covert operations”. Each pair comes with a branded hard case and a embossed cleaning cloth to finish the slick product. But there’s far more than clever branding involved here - and that’s Fortis’s amazing lenses.

You can choose from the classic and best-selling 247 Brown polarising lens for extra contrast definition, or for the angler who loves to stalk fish, the AMPM Amber polarising lens is perfect for low light levels… this is the lens you need when trying to locate the fish on the hardest of days.

Wear a pair of these with one of Fortis’s lovely 5 Panel Caps and you’ll be competing with the likes of Fareham, Hamilton and Holness when it comes to fish spotting!

Lens guide

1. Grey lenses
These are ideal for prolonged use in the sun. Being neutral in the colour spectrum they do not distort the colours around you making them very natural and easy on the eye. Well suited for bright conditions.

2. Brown lenses
One of the most popular colours is brown, which offers the best contrast definition, meaning this lens will silhouette objects (big fat carp!) in the water better than any other colour.

3. Amber lenses
Are you a stalking machine? The new Darrell Peck? Then these are for you, these “brighter” lenses allow more light in through the lens, enabling you to #SeeDeeper in low light or darker conditions. Ideal for early morning, late evening or finding fish in snags.
