Trakker Utility Shelter

Make bankside living even more comfortable thanks to Trakker and their Utility Shelter

When you’re on a long session you need luxury. Whether it’s blissfully hot or a storm’s raging, you need additional housing that keeps you dry and comfortable. Trakker’s Utility Shelter – a 195(H) x 218(W) x 155cm(D) carpy coloured tent – offers additional cover for cooking, socialising or lake-watching. When it’s wet, keep the doors and windows done up; when the sky clears, tie back the sides to create a large, open front where you can overlook the whole of your swim whilst sipping on your 2007 Merlot. “GIMME”: £199.99; trakkerproducts.com

1. Super comfort

With longer sessions comes larger amounts of tackle, bait and food, and the Utility Shelter is the perfect second home to store all that extra clutter. Its big footprint, groundsheet and fully protected sides result in maximum comfort whilst keep your swim neat, tidy and organised.

2. Windows

At the other end of the spectrum, should it be a blistering 30şC you’ll welcome the door tie-backs which create a large, open front. There’s also roll-up mozzie windows at either side with zip-in clear windows.

3. Features

Along with four guy ropes for extra stability, it also comes supplied with a groundsheet, carry bag, T-pegs and should you really be living the highlife, you’ll be pleased to hear Trakker have stitched in generator lead access points (or: if you’re mega old school and still use a sounder box with a cable…)

4. Wide view

Unlike other offerings currently on the market, Trakker’s cook tent differs by having complete through access – a door entrance at both ends of the shelters – plus dual-zipped doors allow you to create a letterbox opening should you be hell-bent on watching the lake when the weather turns really nasty.

5. Conclusion

If you plan to move about the lake like Pecky or Levy, then the Utility Shelter won’t be for you. Obvs. But if you’re an angler who enjoys a longer session – a week in France for example – or who fishes a venue where you’re camped up in the same swim for the duration of the session, then it reeeeeeally is for you.
