Cobbleacre Lakes

A family holiday and carp fishing. What more could you want?

When it comes to fishing, no two lakes are the same. Each lake brings a different experience and each one suits a different level of fisherman. Cobbleacre Lakes in North Norfolk understand the need for varied practice and have established themselves as the #1 fishing destination in that region.

What began as a pond to drain waterlogged cow pasture 27 years ago by Trevor Seales, it has now become a fisherman magnet, with people travelling in from all over the UK to encounter all of the facilities the park has to offer. Almost 3 generations after its first development, the park is now headed up by Trevor’s grandson Adam who is keen to keep moving with developments and growing the park into something even more spectacular.

The family run business is located in the heart of East Anglia. Just 10 miles north of Norwich City Centre and 15 miles from the coastal town of Cromer. Surrounded in natural, untouched woodland for visitors to enjoy, it’s central location also means that local villages can be easily explored.

The park, which has a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award, has five different lakes to choose from with all levels of experience and preference covered. Whether you are only beginning to get into the fishing world or if it has become more than just a hobby to you, the variety of lakes allow you to explore your passion in a tranquil, peaceful setting.

Depths across the lakes range from 2-15ft and catches vary depending on where you partake. With some incredible fish including, carp, bream and silvers, Cobbleacre encourages visitors to share their catches on their website to show others what can be achieved on the lake. If you someone who likes a bit of healthy competition and you are keen to get involved with other fishermen whilst showcasing your skill set, regular singles matches are organised on the 3.5 acre Mario Lake.

Whilst offering day or evening tickets, Cobbleacre also provide facilities for overnight stays and fishing dedicated holidays. Find the perfect spot on the camping site or park your caravan to overlook the Adams lake. Both sites have great facilities and can provide you with everything that you need, including showers, power and wifi.

Last month, Cobbleacre Park featured as North Norfolk’s number one fishing location. It’s untouched surroundings and scenic views make it an idyllic spot to forget about the world outside it’s gates and relax in a natural habitat. Although Cobbleacre offers day fishing tickets, the beauty of the park is that you are able to stay over in their camping and static caravan facilities to enjoy as long as you like in this peaceful location.

Based in the heart of the park, the caravan and camping site is in the perfect spot to access all 5 lakes that are available for fishing. With each one within walking distance of each other, you don’t need to stray too far from your ‘front door’ to enjoy all that the lakes have to offer.

The static caravans provide guests with a home away from home whilst staying at Cobbleacre. Tucked away slightly from the main camping plots, they offer full facilities such as a place to rest your head, cooking appliances, a shower and electricity supply. They are perfectly comfortable spaces and give customers that added luxury throughout their stay.

Camping is extremely flexible at Cobbleacre and there are no plot restrictions. With so much surrounding the site, choose your perfect spot to take in all the breath-taking views. The only rule is that if you come with children, don’t camp right next to the lake. No matter where you choose to set up camp, everything you need is close by. Showers, toilets and outside washing areas – even wifi is available on site!

Cobbleacre also welcomes tourer caravans with space directly by Adam’s lake – making the view when you wake up, something to write home about. Electrical hook ups are also available.

Spend the weekend getting lost in the tranquil environment or combine a hobby and family time with a static caravan for the entire week. However long you want to spend at the park, Cobbleacre welcomes all guests. Get in touch today to discuss availability – 01603 754305
