Bait-Tech Method Mix Groudbaits

Okay, we’re exaggerating slightly, but Bait-Tech’s collection of groundbaits opens up a whole new world of bait-related opportunities

Contrary to popular belief, groundbaits don’t start and stop at Bob Nudd. Or Steve Ringer. Nor Alan Scotthorne for that matter. Despite their “match fishing” history it is thanks to Bait-Tech and their collection of ‘Big Carp Method Mixes’ that we can now indulge in the same success as the match boys, just landing carp five times as big. And thanks to all mixes retailing for £5.99 for a 2kg bag, they’re not only carp-catching effective, they’re cost-effective, too. bait-tech.com

1. Poloni

Groundbaits date back decades, but they aren’t all old-school. Modern concoctions like this mix are a complex and completely nutritionally balanced food source, containing a secret blend of eight herbs and spices. The result is a medium to fast breakdown mix which can be used with everything from the Method and Stick bags to stiffening up a spod mix.

2. Sweet Coconut

Rule the pond this autumn/winter with this incredibly sweet mix. Rammed full with rich, sweet coconut flavours, attractors and other appetising ingredients to make others around the lake think, ‘Is that Terry Hearn over there?’ where in fact it’s just good old you.

3. Krill & Tuna

Krill: currently the carp world’s most popular and effective bait additive, and it now comes in the form of a groundbait (use in Sticks, bags, spod mixes) thanks to Bait-Tech. And better still, it’s also packed with tuna meal.

4. Tiger & Peanut

Back in the early 00’s, Method mixes were just scalded trout pellets – and if you were feeling fancy, maybe with a dash of liquid. Now they’re like this: a dynamic, easy-to-mix, protien-rich groundbait containing crushed tigers, peanuts, amino triggers and all designed to attract, hold and feed the carp for longer.
