How to tie Elliott Gray's bottom bait rig

This rig is deadly - as proven in Below The Surface. Follow these steps to learn how to tie Elliott's bottom bait rig

To tie Elliott’s rig you will need the following bits and pieces.

Start off by removing a 15-inch length of N-Trap hooklink.

Remove six-inches of coating, form a Hair loop and attach the bait.

Now position a ring three-quarters of an inch above the bait.

Position the ring at the bottom of the shank, where it starts to curve.

Now whip a Three-Turn Knotless Knot in order to secure it all in place.

Pierce a 1cm length of tubing and then pass the needle out the other end.

Position it over the hook’s eye so the hooklink exits inline with the point.

Use the steam from a kettle to shrink the tubing down so it’s secure.

It’s now ready to rock: and as proven in Below The Surface, it’s deadly.
