How to tie a really simple Pop-Up Rig

Follow these 9 steps to tie the perfect Pop-Up Rig...

1 A skinned hooklink is perfect for this rig. In this case we are using Gardner's Disruption hooklink.

2 Strip off sufficient skin from the hooklink to tie on your chosen hook with a Knotless Knot (no Hair required).

3 The distance from the hook to the end of the skinned hooklink sets the height of the pop-up.

4 Mount a large Covert Rig Ring onto the preformed ā€˜Dā€™ and use a Braided Hair Needle and thread onto the hooklink.

5 Carefully push a Pop Up Hook Aligner onto the hook so it looks like this with the 'D 'sitting nice and square on the back of the shank.

6 Tie on your chosen hookbait. To avoid piercing the hookbait, you can use dental floss.

7 Trim off the excess dental floss and make sure the rig ring is sitting neatly on the knot (which is just a multiple turn overhand knot).
